Communications Specialist
Iman Mekonen is a Communications Assistant at the Center for Institutional and Social Change (CISC), where she supports digital strategy and communications initiatives advancing equity and inclusion. She is a Master of International Affairs ‘27 candidate at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, concentrating in International Security and Diplomacy. Before SIPA, she worked in the nonprofit sector, as well as the Federal and Virginia state governments.
Her work bridges diplomacy, communications, and advocacy, inspired by her First Generation Ethiopian American identity and commitment to social change.
