CISC was proud to join with long-time partner JustLeadershipUSA in celebrating the graduation of the 2015 cohort of the Leading with Conviction Program. Leading with Conviction (LwC) offers a year-long training program in which formerly incarcerated leaders with an outstanding record of advocacy and action receive, with assistance from CISC, intensive training in communications, messaging, and community building in order to ensure that their future work has the maximum possible impact on public policy. LwC leaders come from across the country, and over the course of the year, grow to form within their cohort a powerful network of passionate and experienced advocates. At their graduation, hosted by CISC at Columbia Law School, the leaders gathered to share their experiences, express compassion and solidarity with each other, and reaffirm their commitment to their work. The two-day event included a final training session, and closed with remarks from JustLeadershipUSA founder and president Glenn Martin.
