Amaya Contreras Driggs

Amaya is a 2L, from Havana, Cuba by way of Marbella, Spain and Miami, Florida. She graduated from Tufts University with a double major in International Relations and Political Science. Before law school she worked at a public defense firm, representing indigent New Yorkers in their criminal appeals and post-conviction proceedings. At Columbia, she is on the board of the Latinx Law Students Association and First Generation Professionals, is in the advanced Mediation Clinic, and is a staff member on the Journal of Law and the Arts. She also participated in the LaLSA Asylum & Refugee Law Moot Court. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her puppy, watching reality TV, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
